Getting started

  1. Explore the live demoSee every feature on a demo fleet, including the full documentation.
  2. Tell us about your fleetEmail hello@opsfabric.io with your approximate server count, the plan you want (Start or Pro) and your preferred hosting region (EU, or US / APAC on Pro).
  3. We provision your dedicated infrastructureYou get your own physically isolated OpsFabric environment and admin credentials. Connect SSO if you use it.
  4. Install a gateway in your networkOne gateway per environment or site. It only needs outbound access to your instance.
  5. Connect your serversInstall the agent using an Install Profile, so new hosts join the right groups and policies automatically.

FAQ

Which operating systems are supported?

Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux and Windows, with more distributions being added. Linux and Windows servers can be managed side by side from the same instance.

Do I need to open inbound ports on my servers?

No. Each server connects to the OpsFabric gateway inside your network, and the gateway opens a single outbound TLS connection to your instance. See Security for the full data flow.

What does the agent run as?

The agent is a standard Salt minion and runs as root, because patching and managing firewalls, users and services require it. Every action is controlled by RBAC and approvals and recorded in the audit log. See what OpsFabric can do on your servers.

Where is the documentation?

Full documentation lives inside the product, so it always matches the version you run. You can browse it in the live demo without an account of your own, and in your own OpsFabric environment once it's set up.

How quickly will you respond?

On Start, email support gives you a first response within two business days. On Pro, priority tickets get a first response within four business hours for critical issues and one business day for everything else. Support hours are Monday to Friday, business hours (CET).

Can I get faster or dedicated support?

Yes. The Pro plan includes priority support through our ticketing system and an onboarding call. For a contractual SLA or a dedicated contact, talk to us.

Where is my data stored?

On your own dedicated infrastructure, hosted in the EU, or in the US or Asia-Pacific on the Pro plan. Self-hosted and air-gapped deployments are also available.
